Strengths and trade-offs

Exclusive Appetite

Victorian households wanting flexible, no-subscription frozen meals

  • No subscription, lock-in contract or ongoing payments: you order as you need
  • Large menu of 70+ chef-prepared dishes including a substantial vegetarian and vegan range
  • Three portion sizes, including family meals that feed 4 adults or 2 adults and 4 kids
  • Victoria only, with rural customers limited to weekly delivery runs
  • Nutrition panels come on the packaging rather than being published on the menu, so you cannot compare kilojoules or protein before ordering
  • No breakfast options and no ability to customise or swap ingredients in a meal
Exclusive Appetite reviewVisit site

THR1VE

Macro tracked low carb and high protein eating

  • Clear published price ladder: $12.95 per meal at 10, down to $9.95 at 25
  • Full macros and a per serve nutrition panel, ingredients and allergens on every meal
  • Chilled not frozen, ready in about 2 minutes, with a target of at least 7 days fridge life
  • Not national: no delivery to TAS or NT, and site pages conflict on whether SA is served
  • $89 minimum food order per delivery, so small top-up boxes are not possible
  • Single delivery window starting Saturday after a Friday pack, which suits weekend restocking only
THR1VE reviewVisit site

Youfoodz

Busy households wanting fresh, no-prep meals with a big weekly menu

  • Large rotating menu with 40 to 80 items a week plus snacks, juices and desserts
  • Meals are fresh, never frozen, ready in about two minutes and keep up to 9 days in the fridge
  • Coverage across all states and territories, including a long list of regional centres
  • Per meal prices are not published upfront: you must enter a postcode and pick a plan size to see them
  • Marketing leans heavily on a 12 week introductory discount, so the ongoing rate is hard to judge
  • Tasmania and the Northern Territory get limited coverage and only one to three delivery days a week

Prices
The ongoing price at a typical order size: per meal for ready-made meals, per serving for meal kits. First-order offers and delivery fees are not included. Prices checked 24 August 2026. Confirm at checkout.
Highlights
Green cells mark the lowest published price, the highest customer rating, the largest menu, the highest minimum protein, our highest score, and a Yes where the services differ. A row is only highlighted when every service compared has a value for it. Prices in different units and ratings from different review platforms are not highlighted.
Customer rating
Out of 5, with the review count and the platform the rating is from. It is a customer rating, not our score.
Our score
Out of 100: customer rating (35 points, weighted by review volume), disclosure of macros, calories and a real price (20), price against services of the same type (15), menu size (10), ordering flexibility (10) and delivery reach (10). Where a provider publishes nothing for a criterion, it is dropped and the rest are rescaled.
