Astrid Katterine Naranjo Martinez
Astrid the Fit Dietitian / Anti-Diet Dietitian
About
When I left Venezuela for Australia, I had nothing certain waiting for me. Like so many women I now work with, I spent years at war with my body—trying restrictive diets, punishing myself in the gym, thinking willpower was the answer. The breakthrough came when I stopped chasing the next diet and started focusing on food freedom.
Bodybuilding became part of my healing, showing me how empowering it feels to build strength and confidence from the inside out. That experience inspired me to create InsideOut Fit—a coaching program for women who've tried everything yet nothing has worked long-term. I bring both my academic and clinical background (Master's from Bond University, hospital and research experience) and lived experience as a woman who knows exactly what it's like to feel stuck in the cycle of restriction and guilt.
My message is simple: you're not broken. You don't need another extreme diet.
Approach: Empowering, compassionate, anti-diet, client-centred, evidence-based, holistic, draws on personal lived experience
Weight Loss Approach
Anti-diet, food freedom philosophy. Focuses on sustainable lifestyle change, positive relationship with food and body, mindset empowerment, and breaking the restriction-guilt cycle. Uses evidence-based nutrition, macro tracking, and metabolic rebuilding.
Draws on personal lived experience with yo-yo dieting and bodybuilding for recovery. Avoids labelling foods good/bad.
