About

Hey there, beautiful soul! I'm Carlia, the heart and soul behind Welcome to Wellbeing, where I proudly serve as the Founder, Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor, Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician and a Non-Diet Dietitian. I have over a decade of experience in providing 1:1 nutrition counselling to women experiencing challenges related to food, body image concerns, and eating disorders.

I'm a kind, empathetic and caring clinician with a passion for empowering women to embrace their authentic selves by nurturing a compassionate relationship with food, body, and self. Drawing from my own lived experience of mental health challenges, I understand that recovery and healing require vulnerability, courage, and trust in the process, along with mindful self-compassion. At Welcome to Wellbeing, we provide a Body Inclusive, Trauma Informed, Non-Diet Approach and adopt a Health at Every Size® framework.

Approach: Warm, empathetic, compassionate, non-judgmental, trauma-informed, body-inclusive, collaborative. Describes herself as 'kind, empathetic and caring'. Draws on lived experience of mental health challenges. Creates safe space for clients to heal at their own pace.

Weight Loss Approach

Explicitly non-diet, weight-neutral approach. Adopts Health at Every Size (HAES) framework, intuitive eating, and mindful eating principles. Does not focus on weight loss or calorie restriction.

Philosophy is body-inclusive and trauma-informed. Actively rejects diet culture and weight-focused health goals. Not suitable for clients seeking conventional weight loss programs.

The overall experience with the 'Welcome to Wellbeing' team was exceptional. I always felt welcome and in a safe space when going for appointments onsite or connecting online. Carlia and the team are so organised that I never even had to think about all the practical and logistical aspects. Everything was just simple, allowing me to focus exclusively on my recovery. I would recommend 'Welcome to Wellbeing' 100% to anyone looking for a welcoming and safe space for eating disorder recovery. That's the best investment I have ever made for myself.
