MNT Diagnostics
About
At MNT Diagnostics, we provide advanced Nutrition Diagnostic Testing and Specialist Dietetics services. We specialise in helping individuals who have faced challenges with weight, no matter how hard they have tried. Our specialist dietitian, APD Joshua Morgan, utilises both nutrition diagnostic testing and traditional pathology to uncover exactly what is holding you back—whether it's metabolic inefficiencies, hormonal imbalances, or nutrient deficiencies.
We are one of a handful of dietitians in Australia able to offer advanced diagnostic procedures including QNRG Calorimetry, DEXA, and SECA 525 MBCA. We are the only clinic on the Gold Coast and Northern NSW with state-of-the-art QNRG Indirect Calorimetry and SECA 525 MBCA machines. We do not believe a strict diet is the answer—your treatment plan will be tailored to your preferences and needs.
We only recommend follow-up consultations if they are genuinely indicated.
Approach: Evidence-based, diagnostics-first, highly personalised, collaborative with multidisciplinary teams. Neurodivergent-friendly environment (calming, sensory-friendly, judgement-free). Transparent about not over-servicing patients. Compassionate care for complex and invisible illnesses.
Weight Loss Approach
Advanced diagnostics-first approach using QNRG Indirect Calorimetry metabolism scans, DEXA, and BI-Spectroscopy to identify the root cause of weight challenges (metabolic inefficiencies, hormonal imbalances, nutrient deficiencies). Develops highly personalised nutrition plans based on individual metabolic profile. Does not advocate strict diets; offers both structured and principle-guided approaches.
Focuses on sustainable, long-term change and preserving lean muscle mass. Evidence-based.
Yes. Highly experienced in supporting individuals using GLP-1 agonist medications (Ozempic, Wegovy). Uses advanced nutrition diagnostic testing to monitor body composition, assess metabolism, and identify early signs of muscle loss to prevent metabolic adaptation and weight regain after cessation. Provides tailored nutritional plans and evidence-based strategies to preserve lean muscle mass, optimise metabolism, and promote sustainable weight management.
