About
Helping you improve your general health through dietary advice for fertility, women's health, bariatric surgery, weight loss medications, perimenopause, menopause, pregnancy, sports nutrition & more! Katie loves helping people feel better through eating nutritious foods and develop a better relationship with food in a supportive and non-judgemental way. When using weight loss medications, it's really important to ensure you are getting in what you really need in a smaller volume of food — adequate protein, fluid and other nutrients are required to ensure you are not losing too much muscle mass or causing nutrient deficiencies.
Long-term strategies are required, also if you are ceasing medication. If you have had bariatric surgery and feel you have gone off-track, Katie is here to support you in a non-judgemental and kind way.
Approach: Supportive, non-judgemental, kind; non-diet approach; individualised and collaborative; will refer on to other specialists where appropriate.
Weight Loss Approach
Non-diet approach, supportive and non-judgemental; focuses on building a better relationship with food, adequate nutrition (protein, fluid, micronutrients) during weight loss, and long-term sustainable strategies. Has completed 'The Non-Diet Approach for Dietitians' training.
Yes. Katie supports patients using weight loss medications (e.g. GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic/Wegovy/Saxenda/Mounjaro). She focuses on ensuring adequate protein, fluid and other nutrients are met in a smaller food volume to prevent muscle mass loss and nutrient deficiencies, and assists with long-term strategies including cessation planning.
Yes – extensive bariatric surgery support. Over 8 years of experience in weight loss surgery.
