Paula Packer
Lime Nutrition
About
Lime Nutrition was founded by Accredited Practising Dietitian Paula Packer to provide personalised, evidence-based nutrition care for women through midlife and beyond. Midlife brings significant hormonal changes, including declining oestrogen, which influence metabolism, body composition, bone density, and long-term health. Many women notice changes in weight, strength, energy, and overall wellbeing during this time, alongside an increased risk of conditions such as insulin resistance, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, and muscle loss.
Nutrition care focuses on helping you understand what's happening in your body and providing practical, sustainable strategies to support metabolic health, preserve muscle and bone, and protect your long-term wellbeing. Care is tailored to the individual and delivered in collaboration with your GP and healthcare team, supporting both prevention and management of chronic disease.
Approach: Evidence-based, practical and sustainable; collaborative with GP and healthcare team; tailored to the individual; focused on building client skills and confidence for long-term independence; non-restrictive, strength- and health-focused rather than diet-focused.
Weight Loss Approach
Focuses on improving metabolic health, strength and body composition rather than restrictive dieting. As muscle, nutrition quality and metabolic health improve, weight and abdominal fat often stabilise naturally. Practical, sustainable strategies that improve metabolic health without restrictive dieting.
Evidence-based approach.
Yes. Supports clients currently using, considering, or transitioning off GLP-1 medications (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro). Focus areas include: preserving muscle and minimising muscle loss during weight reduction, maintaining bone health and reducing risk of accelerated bone loss, meeting protein/energy/nutrient needs despite reduced appetite, managing side effects such as nausea, early fullness or reflux, and developing sustainable eating patterns for long-term health. Emphasises that nutrition care is needed to maintain outcomes after medication discontinuation.
