Spiced Banana Smoothie

This smoothie uses almond milk however you are welcome to use your normal milk. Vanilla paste is available in a little jar in the baking aisle otherwise use a fresh vanilla bean or extract.This recipe is low sodium and low fat.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2  cup Greek yoghurt, light
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • Sprinkle nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla paste
  • 1 tsp. chia seeds
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Method

  1. 1Place all ingredients into a blender, including ice. 
  2. 2Blend until smoothie and serve into glasses with a sprinkle of nutmeg or cinnamon on top.
