Ingredients
- 4 Granny Smith Apples
- 250g Blueberries Frozen
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup oats
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 50g butter, cold, chopped
Method
- 1Preheat oven to 180c (360F).
- 2You will need 4 ramekins or 1 baking dish, med sized.
- 3Peel the apples, quarter and remove the core. Cut into bite sized pieces. Place apples into a large bowl; add cinnamon and 1 tablespoon of the brown sugar. Mix around until all apples are coated with sugar and cinnamon. Now add the blueberries.
- 4Place the mixture into the 4 ramekins or baking dish.
- 5Now in a clean large bowl place the flour and butter and with clean fingers rub the butter into the flour, do this for around 1 minute but no longer. Now add the sugar and oats, mix with spoon and top your ramekins with mixture.
- 6Note that this dessert is rustic and will shrink so don’t worry about overfilling the dishes.
- 7Bake for 35 mins (depending on oven) until bubbling and topping is brown.
- 8Serve with low fat custard or raspberry yoghurt.
