A Typical Day

Here is an example timetable of a typical day at the weight loss retreat. Each resort and day runs slightly differently, so exact schedules and activities may change.

8:00 AMMorning mobility and stretching - To start the day you may have a light exercise session or a warm up and flexibility session to get the body moving and ready for the training ahead.
8:30 AMMorning training session - A fun morning training session with our expert trainers in our indoor training area, the gym or in the stunning surroundings of our retreats. Training may include cardio circuits, kickboxing circuits, boxing circuits, walks, gym training, and many other sessions designed to maximise your results.
10:30 AMMorning snack
11:00 AMLong term success seminar - Each day you will take part in a seminar helping you to succeed with your weight loss for the long term. In these sessions we cover topics such as emotional eating, nutrition, motivation, goal setting and many other valuable subjects. These sessions are key part of our clients' success. If you prefer not to take part, you can use the gym instead.
12:30 PMLunch
2:00 PMAfternoon training session - Each afternoon you will take part in a full program of exercising finishing at 4pm most days. The activities vary each day but can include: Pool Sessions, Walks, Exercise Sessions. Training may include cardio circuits, kickboxing circuits, boxing circuits, walks, gym training, and many other sessions designed to maximise your results.
4:00 - 5:00 PMEnd of day - Your day will generally finish each day by 4pm or 5pm. Finishing times vary between retreats and time of year and days may finish earlier than stated on certain days to assist with rest and recovery. Feel free to use the resort facilities during your rest time. Swim or relax at the pool, rest in your room or take in a spa treatment at those locations with onsite spas.

6:45 PMRelax - After dinner guests are free to relax. Some guests choose to make use of the resort facilities with other guests whilst others return to their rooms to prepare for the next day.

Once I had made the financial commitment to attend OnTrack, my concern was not being able to keep up with the exercises etc. and not achieving my goals. I am pleased to say that, not only did I achieve my goal of losing weight and, more importantly centimetres off my body, but I enjoyed the experience and came home determined to put into practice the things I had learned about nutrition; and to also implement my own exercise routine of 1 hour per day. Being in a small group was great, the support we gave each other really helped, and the actual training sessions were well planned to provide variety, fun and a sense of achievement at the end of it. The trainers do not make you do anything that you are not capable of doing, but they push you to the limit of what you can do, which is good. The food was delicious, not only well balanced nutritionally but tasted great. We did not live on lettuce leaves, but had salmon, steak and even a healthy pizza. I would recommend OnTrack to anyone who was serious and in the right frame of mind to work at losing weight. There is no magic formula, but a sustainable approach to incorporating changes to your eating and exercise habits is started off at OnTrack. I stayed 2 weeks, but would really have liked another week to consolidate my knowledge and habits. OnTrack practises a sustainable lifestyle to lose weight and get fit, not a diet. First class program which I would recommend to anyone.
