“The most satisfying part of my job is seeing the drastic change in people's lives. Witnessing how their true personalities come out. From being too scared to leave their home, unable to drive a car or fit on an aeroplane to laughing, smiling and having their first kiss or first date after 30 years of never dating! That's what makes me show up every day for my patients.”

Procedure Information
Gastric Sleeve Surgery▼
The latest in non-invasive weight loss surgery that produces rapid weight loss. Reduces your stomach size by 75%, to help achieve long-term weight loss. Considered one of the most effective weight loss options for helping you achieve your weight loss goals.
Gastric Bypass SurgeryUp to 70% of excess body weight in 12 months. On average, patients lose 70% with studies showing after 10-14 years patients have maintained 60% of excess body weight loss.▼
The Roux-en-Y gastric bypass is the most commonly performed bariatric surgery in the world with around 100,000 procedures being performed each year. It combines the two types of surgery being both a restrictive and partly malabsorptive operation. Stapling is used to create a smaller, upper stomach pouch which restricts the amount of food able to be consumed. A portion of the small bowel is bypassed which delays food from mixing with digestive juices to avoid complete absorption.
Band to Bypass Surgery (Revision Surgery)▼
Referred to as revisional bariatric surgery. Performed on patients that have undergone previous weight loss surgery but have not experienced the desired weight loss outcomes, such as insufficient weight loss, weight regain after achieving weight loss goals, or unsuccessful resolution of co-morbidities such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
Gastric Lap Band Surgery40-50% of excess body weight in 12 months▼
Once the most popular weight loss surgery, but now superseded by the more effective Gastric Sleeve Surgery. Works by placing an adjustable band around the upper part of the stomach, creating a smaller pouch. A balloon in the band can be increased or decreased according to the restriction required, delaying food release by around 3-4 hours, giving the feeling of being fuller for longer.
