Pursued advanced laparoscopic skills training through a post-fellowship program with the Australian & New Zealand Gastric & Oesophageal Surgery Association. Accredited by the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) to perform diagnostic and interventional gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures.

Completed general surgical training at Austin Health, earning his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2013. Pursued extensive post-fellowship training in upper GI and bariatric surgery through the Australian and New Zealand Gastric and Oesophageal Surgery Association (ANZGOSA) at leading institutions, including Box Hill Hospital and St George Hospital in Sydney, which is the only accredited Bariatric Centre of Excellence in Australia. Also accredited by GESA for diagnostic and interventional upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy.

Pursued advanced training in endocrine surgery in Canterbury, England, and in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery in Hull, East Yorkshire, England, where he also served as a Clinical Lecturer in Surgery at Hull Royal Infirmary.
