Optimum Intake Dietitians started in 2007 on the NSW Central Coast, growing to a 20+ team of HAES and non-diet dietitians. We provide personalised, evidence-based nutrition support both in clinic and online across the Central Coast and Newcastle. We adopt a Non-Diet and Intuitive Eating approach — moving clients away from restrictive dieting toward sustainable habits, body acceptance, and a positive relationship with food.
Our integrative approach addresses both nutritional and behavioural aspects of eating. We match each client with the best-suited dietitian for their goals, fostering a collaborative, compassionate, client-centred experience. Services include weight concerns, GLP-1 medication support, bariatric nutrition, eating disorders, child nutrition, chronic health conditions, NDIS disability nutrition, aged care, sports nutrition, women's health, and more.
Non-diet approach, Health at Every Size (HAES), intuitive eating. Focuses on sustainable habits rather than weight loss per se — building positive relationship with food, listening to internal hunger/fullness cues, body acceptance, and removing stress of strict dieting. Does not use weighing/measuring foods, detailed food diaries, calorie plans or 'diet' foods.
