Guest Experiences

The silent retreat here was a beautiful experience. Comfortable and clean accomodation, good program of activities, peaceful location, and delicious food.

Kim BlumenthalSilent Retreat

This was my first Bushwalking Retreat at Happy Buddha. It was a really fabulous experience. What truly made this retreat special was the sense of community. I had the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who shared a love for nature and meaningful connection. The shared experience of exploring the wilderness together fostered deep connections and I left not only with a renewed sense of calm but also with new friendships that I will cherish. The accommodation was cosy and comfortable, providing a perfect balance of relaxation and immersion in nature. The food was also exceptional, with healthy and delicious meals that fuelled our days of exploration. The retreat truly nurtured both my body and soul, offering the perfect combination of adventure, relaxation and connection. If you're looking for a getaway that combines outdoor exploration with the opportunity to make lasting friendships, then book in. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this long weekend silent retreat. The program had a good and flexible pace; the environment was welcoming; the scenary was beautiful, nested in nature; other participants were respectful and we all seemed to be on the same wave length, even when no words were exchanged. The facilitator was gentle and offered a variety of relaxation methods. I also enjoyed the food. A couple of points for improvement: - it would have been good to have some vegetarian food options, rather than only vegan. It's easier to cater for one dietary category only, I get it. But vegan food is not always the healthiest option (yes, that's right!) and not everyone appreciates it; - we were almost 15 people sharing two / three bathrooms. The one closer the kitchen was practically used by everyone every day. It is very disappointing that bathrooms were not clean daily: they looked like public toilets by the time we left. This is not acceptable for a venue that is trying to mantain high standards in its retreats.

I have just returned home from my first retreat. I bit the bullet and stepped out of my comfort zone and went on my own. I did the Full Moon Women's Circle retreat. I was super nervous to be there with no one I knew but each and every woman there was so supportive and amazing. Claire was our facilitator and she hands down was the best! I will definitely be doing more things if Claire is involved. The accommodation was comfortable and the food was next level flavour bombs! Who knew vegan food could be so delish! The nature and the sounds of nature tied it all together. If you're unsure but interested I say just go. It was well worth the unknown. I will be back.

Darling location, nestled amongst the green, a hop skip and a jump from main street scape of Wentworth Falls, yet you will feel like you are moons away from the mainstream! Retreat program and facilitators are amazing. You will feel held, supported, and accepted to be you, to go at your own pace and authentic flow. There are plenty of tranquil spaces and pockets around the grounds to be simply chill, relax and be at one with yourself and nature. Free time makes way for a bushwalk, exploration of the area. There is a choice of 3 bush/walks, the most challenging being the Waterfall walk, known as Water Nymphs Dell. Theres a pool on both retreat sites, to invite a welcome dip/cool off post walk, yoga sesh or early morning plunge to refresh the senses. Then there's the nourishing food offerings...amazing! Deliscious Vegan/Vegetarian meals to tantalise the taste buds. I thoroughly enjoyed a quiet moment of sheer gratitude before each mouthful...just bliss! The Inner Joy retreat was all that and more. We left feeling so enlivened and blissfully happy from top to toe! We all deserve to gift ourselves Inner Joy and peace. Happy Buddha Retreats facilitate this with great ease!
