Gastric Band Removal▼
Surgical removal of a previously placed gastric band, performed by Dr Hatzifotis.
Revisional Surgery▼
Secondary bariatric procedures for patients who need revision after previous weight loss surgery. Types include: Removal of Lap Band, Converting Band to Sleeve Gastrectomy, Converting Band to Gastric Bypass, Converting Sleeve-to-Bypass, Converting Sleeve or Bypass after previous stomach stapling. Dr Hatzifotis has extensive experience and has performed hundreds of these procedures in the last 15-20 years.
Hiatus Hernia Repair & Fundoplication▼
Laparoscopic surgery that reinforces the lower oesophageal sphincter's ability to close and helps prevent gastro-oesophageal reflux. Involves five small cuts in the abdomen, using a laparoscope to return the stomach to the abdomen and reduce the size of the defect in the diaphragm. The top part of the stomach is then folded over the lower part of the oesophagus.
Cholecystectomy (Gallbladder Surgery)▼
Laparoscopic surgical procedure to remove the gallbladder, involving four small incisions in the abdomen. Minimally invasive with less pain and faster recovery than traditional surgery.

Pricing
Initial General Surgery consultation fee $200 (Medicare rebate: $86.15 as at Jul 2025). $110 fee for further review consultations before surgery. Out-of-Pocket fee for insured general surgery patients of up to $500 (max) depending on procedure. All After-Care appointments are Bulk-Billed with Dr Hatzifotis. Past Insured Weight Loss patients will not be charged an Out-of-Pocket fee for subsequent General Surgery.
