Dr Qiuye Cheng is a highly regarded Sydney based upper gastrointestinal and bariatric surgeon with extensive experience in minimally invasive surgery.

Accredited surgical training at Westmead Hospital, Surgical Fellowship with The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (2018). Four years of post-fellowship sub-speciality training in upper gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery at St. George Hospital in Sydney and St. Vincent Hospital in Melbourne.

An endoscopic outlet reduction procedure performed as a revision to gastric bypass surgery. It adjusts the size of the outlet between the stomach pouch and the small intestine, addressing issues related to food passage and enhancing weight loss results for patients experiencing weight regain from an enlarged gastrojejunostomy stoma. The procedure is performed under general anaesthetic using an endoscope, takes 30 minutes to an hour, and most patients go home the same day.
