If you dont have honey, golden syrup can be used at the end to drizzle over the oranges.
Ingredients
- 4 slices whole meal sliced bread
- 2 egg
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3/4 cup reduced fat milk
- Cooking spray
- 1 orange
- 2 tsp. honey
Method
- Mix together milk, egg and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon until well combined.
- Dip bread in milk / egg mixture and flip to coat both sides.
- Spray a non stick frying pan, and warm pan over medium heat
- Once warmed, place bread and cook approx 1-2 minutes each side or until golden brown (the cinnamon will give a slightly darker appearance), set aside.
- Peel oranges and segment. Using non stick fry pan, add oranges and cook over medium heat, sprinkle with 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and cook for a further minute until well coated.
- Place French toast on place and fold over and place oranges on top, drizzle with honey and serve immediately.
